Real Madrid star Toni Kroos had his contract leaked with his staggering salary and intriguing contract clause exposed to the public.

Kroos made his name in Germany with Bayern Munich before securing a high-profile switch to Real in the summer of 2014.

After inspiring Germany to World Cup glory in Brazil, he signed for the Spanish giants in a transfer worth a believed £26 million, penning a six-year deal before signing a contract extension in 2016.

He stayed at Real beyond his initial contract as he enjoyed 10 trophy-laden seasons.

Kroos was on a lucrative deal that included a series of contract clauses.

According to Football Leaks via Spanish outlet AS, Kroos earned £9.3 million-per-year.

The document also revealed that he received an additional £1.5 million if he was nominated for the prestigious Ballon d'Or.

Per the terms of his agreement, he gave the club 50 per cent of his image rights at a global level and without geographical limitation of any kind.

Kroos was also prohibited from recreational activities that involved risk of injury or restricted rest periods, including paragliding and climbing.

If he breached the contract unilaterally, then he had to pay a whopping fine of £256 million.

The 35-year-old made 465 appearances for Real during his legendary spell at the Bernabeu.

He won five Champions League titles and four La Liga titles, among other trophies, during his time at the club.

Kroos called time on his iconic playing career last summer. He left behind a stellar legacy, with president Florentino Perez hailing the German as the 'transfer of the century', according to the player's agent Volke Struth.

"[Perez] is an unbelievably pleasant person with a great life story," Struth said on the OMR-podcast.

"He is entrepreneurial but remains human. He explained to me why Toni Kroos is Real Madrid's transfer of the century."
