Real Madrid have already picked their next Galactico signing as they prepare to add Kylian Mbappe to their star-studded squad.

Mbappe bid farewell to Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday night as he lifted his seventh Ligue 1 title with the Parisien side before he leaves the club on a free transfer.

It’s the worst kept secret in world football that the French forward will end up at Madrid this summer, with an announcement not expected until after Carlo Ancelotti’s men face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final at the end of May.

The 25-year-old will arrive at the Bernabeu with a star-studded squad around him. Madrid won the race to sign Jude Bellingham last summer and already possess young stars such as Vinicius Jr, Aurelian Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Rodrygo and the incoming Endrick.

Despite paying a huge signing fee, Mbappe will save Madrid millions as he joins on a free transfer and the La Liga champions have wasted no time in allocating funds for their next superstar signing.

According to Marca, club president Florentino Perez will look to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz for the start of the 2025/26 season with the club already putting the pieces in place to sign the Germany international.

Wirtz has been one of the standout performers in Leverkusen’s spectacular unbeaten season under Xabi Alonso, scoring 18 goals and registering 19 assists in all competitions. The 21-year-old is reportedly attracting the interest of Premier League sides but the report adds Madrid have tracked his progress for years.

Wirtz is contracted at Leverkusen until 2027 and it is believed it would take a huge fee to prise him away from the Bundesliga.

Madrid are also negotiating with River Plate for 16-year-old wonderkid Franco Mastantuono as they continue to target the most talented youngsters in South America, following the signing of Endrick from Palmeiras.

Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies has been heavily linked with a move in the upcoming transfer window while negotiations for Lille defender Leny Yoro are believed to be underway.
