Real Madrid are actively looking to find their manager for next season after they replaced Xabi Alonso with Alvaro Arbeloa taking interim charge in January.
The former Liverpool stars have struggled at the helm of Los Blancos this season, with the club set to go trophyless if they lose to Barcelona in El Clasico.
Madrid have not had the best build-up to this derby with Barcelona, as it was reported Federico Valverde was hospitalised after a fight with Aurelien Tchouameni.
Arbeloa has taken full responsibility for this incident and the others that have taken place in the week before El Clasico; however, the fact they occurred will not have filled the club with confidence that the 2010 World Cup winner is the man to take them forward.

Jose Mourinho has been linked with being the next permanent manager of Real Madrid, returning to the club after he departed the Santiago Bernabeu in 2013 after a three-year stint as manager in which he won a La Liga and a Copa del Rey.
However, it has been suggested in Defensa Central that another former Real Madrid manager wants to make a return to the club.

The Spanish outlet has suggested Alonso, who was removed from the managerial role just four months ago, but it has been reported the club legend would like to return and build a successful side in a similar fashion to his stint at Bayer Leverkusen.
It has been suggested Alonso believes it was the wrong time to become the Real Madrid manager because the team was already entering a crisis in Ancelotti's final year, and the players' attitude wasn't up to par, at least for the Liverpool legend.
However, while he would want to make a return to the Bernabeu he understands that he will not be their next permanent manager, particularly while the club president is Florentino Perez.
Chelsea and Liverpool are said to be interested in the Spaniard becoming their next manager due to the problems at their clubs, and it would appear Alonso would be more likely to be heading to the Premier League for his next role to gain more experience before he might make a return to Real Madrid.
