Marcus Rashford has spoken out for the first time after he was taken off just 33 minutes into his Barcelona debut.

After a highly public fallout with Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim shortly after the manager's arrival, it quickly became clear that a move away from Old Trafford was best for Rashford.

The England international joined Aston Villa in January on a short-term loan, but made it clear that he was hoping to go abroad ahead of next season, with Barcelona the ideal destination.

Luckily for Rashford, his dream move come to be, as Barcelona signed the winger on a season-long loan, with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Despite only being given a short spell on the pitch, Rashford. had nothing but good things to say about his debut game, echoing manager Hansi Flick's comments about the game offering him a chance to return from a recent hamstring injury.

"I feel very good, a good performance, and it was truly wonderful to play in front of the fans, and it was also beneficial in terms of physical fitness,” Rashford said post-match.

"I'm looking forward to the upcoming matches. I know we managed to win the match today, but it’s very important to adapt to the team, get into the playing style, and deliver good football.

"I believe Hansi Flick can make me play good football. I play where the team needs me and try to score goals and create them from those positions."
