Barcelona player speaks out on Marcus Rashford's dressing room behaviour after he nearly 'blocked' new deal

Marcus Rashford's move to Barcelona almost caused complications with another player.

Jules Kounde has revealed his first impressions of Marcus Rashford after his new deal was almost blocked by the summer addition.

Rashford has joined Barcelona from Manchester United on a season-long loan.

The Catalan giants have the option to make the move a permanent transfer for £30 million in 2026.

The 27-year-old has made two appearances for his new team since his transfer this summer.

He made his debut against Vissel Kobe before getting another runout versus FC Seoul on Thursday as his latest showing got Barca fans talking.

Rashford will be hoping for more minutes under his belt ahead of Barca's La Liga opener next month.

He's already made an impression on the Barca squad, with Kounde now speaking out on the club's new signing from Man United.

Kounde, who nearly saw his new deal blocked by Rashford, said the England international is settling in and called him an 'introvert'.

"He's a bit of an introvert, but he's really enjoying it. He's feeling more and more comfortable. I think he's happy. He laughs a lot. He's happy on the pitch too," he said of the star forward.

"He reminds me a little of myself. He's closed off, but he's really enjoying it and seems to be settling in better and better.

"Everyone has welcomed him very warmly. He's talking to everyone. I think he feels very comfortable."

The 26-year-old defender added: "I speak English and I'm trying to help him as much as I can, but I think others are doing the same."

Kounde's new Barca contract was 'postponed' by Rashford's arrival, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

But he eventually put pen to paper on a new deal after Rashford completed his move to Barca.

“The club and I had the same idea of staying. I’m very happy, I feel comfortable with the team, with the ambition, and I’m very grateful to be at an institution where we fight for every title every year. I had no intention of leaving," the Frenchman said of his new deal.
