Kylian Mbappe has given his reaction to Karim Benzema’s apparent social media dig after he snubbed a move to Real Madrid.

Mbappe made a sensational U-Turn last week as he signed a new deal at Paris Saint Germain to keep him at the club until 2025. All expectations pointed towards Mbappe leaving the French champions this summer for Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Things took a drastic turn after PSG threw the kitchen sink at Mbappe, the Parc des Princes club offered the 23 year-old a huge signing on fee and massive wages plus numerous bonuses in a desperate attempt to keep hold of their most prized possession.

The late efforts from PSG eventually paid off as Mbappe put pen to paper on a new deal, which has completely shocked Madrid, who has been chasing Mbappe for nearly two seasons.

Winning Mbappe's signature is huge for PSG, especially to their Qatari owners who wants Mbappe to lead France to the World Cup in their country as a PSG player. Mbappe has been the star since his arrival from Monaco, having already scored 171 goals and assisted 87 times in 217 appearances for PSG, it was vital that PSG managed to keep hold of him as he will play an important part in the club's pursuit of a first Champions League crown.

After the news broke about Mbappe's new deal at PSG, Madrid player Benzema posted on Instagram a picture of rapper Tupac Shakur, with a friend who eventually betrayed him.

That post caused a huge reaction from fans on social media, many people stating that it is definitely a dig at Mbappe, a cryptic message to show the world that Mbappe has betrayed Real Madrid.

Mbappe was asked by Marca to share his feelings about Benzema and the social media post.

"Yes, yes, I saw several Real Madrid players posting things," Mbappe said. "These things are like that, I have nothing to say."

He added: "Of course, when I join up with the French national team I’ll explain to Karim why I stayed at PSG as we have a good relationship."

Real Madrid now have their sights set on ending the season with another trophy, they will travel to Paris to face Liverpool in the mouth-watering Champions League final on Saturday 28 May.
