When you think of Kylian Mbappé the first thing that probably comes to mind is his award-winning footballing skills during his time at Real Madrid and for the French national team. So, when we discovered that the famous footballer was launching a new collaboration with a brand, we assumed that it would be something football-related. But oh how wrong we were.

It turns out that Mbappé has stepped up as a brand ambassador for luxury electronics brand Loewe Technology and this has led to him bringing out his very own portable speaker.

So, whether you’re looking to listen to your favourite tunes or play a podcast, here’s everything you need to know about this collab…

Loewe International

Available in three colours – a classic black, a funky lime green and a muted blue – the Loewe We. HEAR pro is priced at £245. And while it’s not the most affordable portable speaker on the market at the moment, it does earn it some serious cool points.

With a sleek cylindrical design and accompanying carry strap, it’s a great option for those on-the-go.

It has a decent battery life too, with the brand promising “up to 24 hours” of listening time on a single charge of its lithium-ion battery, with it outlasting and outplaying “just like Kylian Mbappé on the pitch.”

Loewe International

It also has fast-charging technology, which means it will be fully recharged in just two hours, with the USB-C port turning the speaker into a power bank as and when you need it, to keep your devices powered up while you’re out and about.

Another big plus, the fact that it is completely waterproof, so you can keep your playlists going even when you’re in the shower or it starts raining during a picnic, BBQ or outdoor gathering.

A few more numbers to note; with 100W of music power, the speaker has a minimum frequency of 50Hz and a max of 20,000Hz. It also supports Bluetooth version V5.3 and has a 88 dB sound pressure level.

And if you have an existing sound system in your home, the “true wireless multi-pairing functionality allows you to sync up to 14 speakers simultaneously, creating an expansive soundstage for any occasion,” the brand admits.

You can even use it to enhance your conference calls thanks to its built-in microphone and 3.5 mm stereo line-in.

What are fans saying?

Several of Mbappé’s fans took to the Loewe International Instagram account to share their thoughts on the footballer’s latest collab, with people from across the world sharing their excitement.

One admitted: “I ordered one…so excited.” While another added: “I must get this.”

This isn’t the first time that Mbappé has collaborated with a brand but some of the others have perhaps been a bit more aligned with his sporting prowess.

He’s previously worked with Nike, Hublot and Oakley on special editions and designs.

If you're a fan of his, will you be buying one?

The speaker is available now at loewe.tv.uk.
