Juventus are on the verge of completing yet another blockbuster free transfer this summer, continuing their remarkable trend.

The Italian giants have been incredibly shrewd in the transfer market over the years, snapping up huge free transfers.

From Fabio Cannavaro to Andrea Pirlo not to mention Paul Pogba and Sami Khedira, among many others.

And it appears the Serie A outfit are set to land another big name on a free transfer, with reports claiming they're close to sealing the services of Angel Di Maria.

The Argentine winger's Paris Saint-Germain contract expires at the end of the season.

He's spent the last seven years of his career in France following his move from Manchester United in 2015.

The 34-year-old has starred for PSG and become a vital member of their team.

But he's set to call time on his career in Paris, with Juve set to offer him a one-year deal - with an option for a second season.

Italian transfer expert Matteo Moretto says a deal for Di Maria is close.

Di Maria, whose cleaned up domestic honours in France, spoke about his future earlier this month.

"My idea is to stay in Europe for another year so I can go to the World Cup in the best possible shape if I’m called up, then I'd go back to Argentina," he said.

"I don’t know if PSG want me to stay. There is an option for one more season but I don't know whether they want to activate it.

"If not, I will look at possibilities at other teams in Europe."

Di Maria seems set to ply his trade in Italy's top flight having played in the La Liga, Premier League and, of course, Ligue 1.
