Six key Bayern Munich players had a ‘bad relationship’ with Julian Nagelsmann ahead of his sacking from the defending German champions, according to stunning reports.

Bayern officially dismissed Nagelsmann from his position last Friday, with assistant coaches Dino Toppmoller, Benjamin Gluck and Xaver Zembrod all axed as well.

The reigning Bundesliga title holders went into the international break in second place in the league table and are currently one point behind rivals Borussia Dortmund.

Nagelsmann’s stint at Bayern came to a swift end after the club’s 2-1 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen, despite leading his former side to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Bayern confirmed that former Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel had succeeded Nagelsmann as the club’s new head coach.

Tuchel, who was axed by Chelsea last September, will be expected to oversee Bayern’s first-team training session on Monday after replacing Nagelsmann on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Bild (via Marca) has now reported that six ‘important’ players from the Bayern first team were ‘quite distant’ from Nagelsmann and had ‘no relationship with him.’

The German newspaper claimed that there were six players who ‘made the bed’ for the former Bayern manager during his time at the Allianz Arena.

Goalkeepers Sven Ulreich and Manuel Neuer are both among the players to be named on Bild’s ‘blacklist.’

According to reports in Germany, both Ulreich and Neuer were unhappy with the dismissal of former Bayern goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic.

Tapalovic, who is a close pal of Germany star Neuer, was axed by Nagelsmann in January after he apparently leaked internal chats from the Bayern staff to players.

Nagelsmann, who has been linked with Tottenham after Antonio Conte’s departure, also had a fractured relationship with four other Bayern players who were in the ‘opposing camp.’

Bild reports that the aforementioned four players are Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane and Sadio Mane, with the latter arriving at Bayern last summer.
