Soccer Saturday presenter Jeff Stelling blames sons for crude Christmas joke

Soccer Saturday presenter Jeff Stelling blames sons for crude Christmas joke

Stelling was forced to delete his post on social media, after making a joke about his pig in blankets on Christmas Day.

Jeff Stelling has blamed his kids for the most public of pranks on Christmas Eve, with the Soccer Saturday presenter deleting a tweet they posted.

Whether it's been a long, trying couple of days or one full of joy and happiness, it's likely that we all share in the experience of eating lots of food over the Christmas period.

Amongst the many traditional foods are good old Pigs in Blankets, certainly it is in Britain where we wrap a sausage in bacon, not the American sausage in pastry.

Personally I scoff a load on Christmas Eve before I go to my parents, as they aren't something we tend to eat on the big day.

Certainly it seems that the Stelling household also devour the little sausages on the 24th as well, with the Soccer Saturday presenter posting a rather crude picture.

Alongside the caption, "Love cooking Xmas dinner, I always do it in the buff!", the 67-year-old posted a picture with a tray full of the little treats.

However, the final sausage was not actually made out of pork, and was instead a penis wrapped in bacon, although it's unlikely it was actually his.

The former Countdown presenter then blamed his sons, tweeting, "My bloody sons. All their presents going back ! All Robbie will get is a Darlo shirt and Matt a ticket to a Palace game. FFS!!", before deleting the original post.

Stelling wasn't ready to completely get rid of all his sons' presents for Christmas, although one assumes they wouldn't have enjoyed what they opened the following morning.

He threatened to get 25-year-old Robbie a Darlington shirt, due to him supporting their rivals Hartlepool United, as does his dad.

For 24-year-old Matt, a ticket to see a Crystal Palace game was due to the fact that he doesn't follow in his dad's footsteps and is actually a Brighton fan.

There was plenty of comments saying the face of Soccer Saturday's original tweet was 'unbelievable,' with others questioning Chris Kamara if he'd seen whose penis it was.

Stelling was back on social media on Christmas Day to wish Kammy a happy birthday, and extol the virtues of checking your pigs in blankets.

"Merry Christmas and a Happy Birthday to my brilliant mate Chris Kamara. Take my advice, inspect the pigs in blankets carefully before eating!"
