Fans think Jadon Sancho told Bruno Fernandes to 'stop moaning' during Aston Villa game

The incident happened in the 16th minute of Manchester United's home clash against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Fans are convinced Jadon Sancho told Manchester United teammate Bruno Fernandes to "stop moaning" during the first-half of their Premier League clash against Aston Villa.

In the 16th minute of Sunday's game at Old Trafford, Sancho tried to beat Villa midfielder Leander Dendoncker in the final third but was soon dispossessed.

After the ball went out for a throw-in. United captain Bruno Fernandes could be seen with his arms raised after Sancho lost possession – a moment that led the former Borussia Dortmund winger to respond.

Some believe a frustrated Sancho told Fernandes to "stop moaning" as he pointed towards the Portuguese midfielder.

One commented on the clip, saying: "Swear Sancho just told Bruno to stop moaning," while another wrote: "Pretty sure Sancho just told Bruno to stop moaning."

A third said: "Sancho tells Bruno to stop moaning and he goes on to score. It’s almost like he needed to hear it and the clip didn’t need over analyzing."

United went into the break with a one goal lead thanks to a close range finish from in-form Fernandes – his 100th career league goal.

Sancho's future at Old Trafford is under threat, according to a recent report from The Guardian, who suggest Erik ten Hag will oversee a huge summer clearout of senior United figures.

The England international features on a list of players who may leave alongside Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Scott McTominay, Fred and Anthony Martial.

Donny van de Beek, Anthony Elanga, Alex Telles and Hannibal Mejbri are also mentioned, as well as Dean Henderson, Brandon Williams and Eric Bailly.

Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe are said to be "definitely" leaving as they run down their contracts at Old Trafford.

That being said, Ten Hag praised Sancho this week after his superb goal against Tottenham Hotspur.

"I think also we have seen in the season many times very good performances from Jadon," Ten Hag said. "And I think definitely that moment on Sunday will strengthen him even more, give him more courage, more belief, definitely.

"We all know what happened and I think you have to recognise it and reward it, what he did on Sunday [against Brighton]; to step behind the ball. And it was such a good penalty."
