Jacob Ramsey Tells Brutal Story Of Being Snubbed By Jorginho After Asking For His Shirt

Aston Villa star Jacob Ramsey asked Chelsea's Jorginho for his shirt, but was not successful.

Aston Villa star Jacob Ramsey was brutally snubbed by Chelsea midfielder Jorginho after asking his shirt.

The 21-year-old experienced a breakthrough campaign in 2021/22, playing 34 games in the Premier League and being voted Villa's Player of the Season by his peers.

The young midfielder has grown into one of Villa's most important players under Steven Gerrard and recently penned a contract extension in 2027.

But he's told the story of how Italy international Jorginho pied him after a game against Chelsea in the season just gone.

Chelsea won 3-0, with Romelu Lukaku grabbing a brace either side of a strike from Mateo Kovavic.

After the game, Ramsey wanted a memento from one of his opponents but was disappointed that Jorginho turned him down.

“So, this season, against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge,” Ramsey revealed in a chat with Sky Sports.

“I asked for Jorginho’s shirt. He said ‘no’. To be fair, he said that he gave it to somebody else. But, we were literally outside of the changing room, so I thought he could grab one. Clearly not!”

The story from Ramsey came in a 'Never have I' feature alongside teammate John McGinn.

McGinn revealed that he unsuccessfully tried to get Eden Hazard's shirt during an international game against Belgium.

He explained: "Scotland-Belgium, I texted JT [John Terry] - JT was a coach here. I wanted Hazard's top. Hazard is a joke man and it was agreed - he says, 'just give me a nod in the tunnel'.

"I was on the bench and I've given him a wee nod. I didn't get on, I was an unused sub and I waited in the tunnel. He's already given it to Stephen O'Donnell."
