Brazilian Hulk scores two stunning free-kicks, including 120km/h thunderbolt

Hulk scored a ridiculous pair of free-kicks for Atletico Mineiro as they ran out 3-0 winners.

Brazilian cult hero Hulk smashed in two stunning free-kicks for Atletico Mineiro, including one rasping strike which clocked in at a ridiculous 120km/h.

Atletico ran out 3-0 winners over Democrata, with Paulinho also on target in addition to the brilliant brace from Hulk.

Hulk opened the scoring in the 13th minute with his first set-piece. It was around 30 yards out and the effort travelled at 90km/h, though it was right down the throat of the goalkeeper.

The second, however, was an absolute net buster and further highlighted that Hulk possesses one of the most powerful shots in the history of the game.

It was much closer to goal, with the free-kick given just outside the box and in the 'D'. A lot of players would have gone for the curler but Hulk decided to unleash an absolute thunderbolt.

A player broke out from the wall in an attempt to block it but it was probably a good thing that it missed him as Hulk unleashed an absolute rocket of a strike that flew past Gustavo Silva and into the top corner.

He wheeled away in celebration after doubling his team's tally in the 35th minute.

Superhero strikes have been a feature of Hulk's game throughout his career playing for Porto, Zenit and Shanghai SIPG.

In fact in June, the 36-year-old whacked what may well be the most powerful shot ever seen against Santos.

It struck the post and made a quite incredible noise as it cannoned back into play.

Hulk's fellow countryman Ronny Heberson is believed to have been responsible for the fastest shot in football history.

Ronny, the brother of former Borussia Monchengladbach and Schalke forward Raffael, had an absolute sledgehammer of a left-foot on him and regularly used it to devastating effect.

He conjured up an unstoppable effort into the top bins in the 88th minute at Associação Naval 1º de Maio and it was unofficially measured that the strike was hit at 210.9 kmh (131.82 mph).
