Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards hilariously turned into fanboys as they interviewed Paulo Maldini before the Champions League clash between AC Milan and Inter Milan.
Legendary defender Maldini joined the CBS Sports coverage to offer his insight on the Milan derby ahead of kick-off.
Peter Schmeichel interviewed the Italian pitchside at the San Siro while Henry, Carragher and Richards also weighed in during the interview from the CBS studio.
Maldini was quizzed about the magnitude of the derby, the semi-final first leg tie and the development of his old side, before Schmeichel brought in his colleagues.
The Arsenal legend went first as he spoke glowingly about his playing days and hailed his impact on transforming Milan.
He finished: "I just want to tell you that you used to scare me."
Carragher, who won the Champions League against Maldini's Milan in 2005, spoke of his honour of lining up against him and revealed he still has his match-worn shirt from the classic final in Istanbul in a wholesome moment.
Richards busted out some Italian before hilariously saying: "I'm starstruck. You are the greatest, my friend! I used to love Thierry Henry, but now we have a bigger star."
Naturally, Henry, Carragher and Richards' reaction to interviewing Maldini sent social media wild.
One Twitter user wrote: "Never seen this panel so starstruck."
A second tweeted: "They turned into fans. Brilliant!!!"
A third added: "When your legends get starstruck you know it’s someone special. Maldini..."
A fourth said: "Man these guys are so entertaining."
Another commented: "Forget all that nonsense you see on the TL, this is real aura. The man had the great Thierry Henry almost p**sing his pants in awe."
The trio continued to laud Maldini following the brilliant interview, which sums up his legendary status in the game.
