Harry Kane scores two goals in five minutes as Spurs smash Palace 4-0, produce sensational second-half display

Harry Kane starred as Spurs beat Crystal Palace.

Tottenham picked up a much-needed 4-0 win over Crystal Palace as they produced a sensational second-half display.

Antonio Conte's side headed into the Selhurst Park clash having lost 2-0 to Aston Villa on Sunday.

But Spurs bounced back from their home defeat to Villa by smashing Patrick Vieira's team on Wednesday.

The visitors were unable to find the back of the net in the first-half, but turned their fortunes around in the second-half with four goals.

Harry Kane - who else?! - opened the scoring after heading home at the back post. He then made it two goals in five minutes as he drilled a low strike into the bottom corner from Bryan Gill's pass.

Matt Doherty added a third in the 68th minute, with Son Heung-min making it 4-0 after Kane picked him out.

The England captain's brilliant brace improves his league goal tally to 15 goals. Only Manchester City's Erling Haaland has scored more league goals than him.

His starring role got fans online talking as they raved about his performance up front.

One Twitter user wrote: "That’s pure class. 2 touch finishes like that are hard to defend against."

A second joked: "Kane’s goal tally this season going seriously under the radar cause of that boring robot freak."

A third added: "What a finish and what a player."

A fourth commented: "That was world class finishing!!"

Spurs now have 33 points on the board and remain in fifth place, five points ahead of Liverpool, but two points behind Manchester United, who currently occupy the last Champions League spot.

Kane and Co resume their Premier League campaign on January 15 when they face league leaders and cross-town rivals Arsenal.
