Graeme Souness proved that he spent the break between Premier League seasons sharpening the knives for Paul Pogba, despite the Manchester United midfielder's brilliant performance on Saturday.

Pogba's displays during the summer at the Euros led to people wondering why he couldn't recreate his France form for United in the Premier League.
On Saturday afternoon, United began their latest campaign against Leeds United and he proved that he is capable of transferring the form over.
The midfielder set up four of the five goals for his team, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side handed out a battering to Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United.
Whilst everyone else was impressed with the former Juventus midfielder, Souness proved that he'll never be nice about his arch nemesis, by claiming Mason Greenwood had impressed him most.
When Micah Richards brought up the France player, the former Liverpool man gave it short shrift by suggesting four assists were 'expected' by Pogba.

Greenwood, who Souness brought up, was amongst the goalscorers for United at Old Trafford, and was hugely impressive as he played up front, but it was a surprise to hear him mentioned.
Along with Pogba's four assists, Bruno Fernandes also scored a hat-trick, as Solskjaer's team laid down a marker for the season.
The Sky Sports pundit also used Greenwood to suggest that United would regret spending so much on Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
However the 19-year-old forward's showing against Leeds was as a striker, the position many believe he'll end up in, whilst Sancho was bought to play on the wing.
Pogba's price also wasn't £100 million, as suggested, whilst Jack Grealish did move for that much this summer so presumably Souness is thinking he'll get four assists every game.
Of course the Scotsman doesn't actually rate the former Aston Villa player as highly as others, and believes the stat he is the most fouled player is a negative.
🗣 "I don't like the fact he's the most fouled player in the Premier League."
