Top 10 Players With Most Goals And Assists Per Game Revealed
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo normally find their stats compared to each other but the pair are split on the top 10 list for goal contributions per game in European football.
The pair lead pretty much every stat in world football and are constantly compared to each other, and compared to everyone else they tend to be streets ahead.
However Luis Suarez actually contributes to goals more often than Ronaldo throughout their careers in Europe. One Reddit user compared active players in Europe and their goal and assist contributions per games played:
Of course Ronaldo dwarfs everyone for goals, even Messi is still 19 behind him after a relatively poor start to the season for the Barcelona man, and he's only nine assists shorts of Suarez, meaning he has the second most contributions of everyone.
The fact that Suarez has played less games than the Real Madrid man, his games before he moved to Europe aren't counted on the list, means that his games and assists to game ratio is better than the five time Ballon d'Or winner.
That the pair of Barca forwards are on the list together just shows how potent that attacking force is, and why they've been poorer without the currently injured Suarez.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic's jaunt to the MLS doesn't count towards his stats but he is back in Europe with AC Milan and alreadys has three goals and an assist from eight games across Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
Robert Lewandowski is third top when it comes to scoring goals but only Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Edinson Cavani have less assists but he's also fourth when it comes to his high ratio.
Sergio Aguero is fast closing in on the Premier League's all time top goal scorers, and needs just eight more to overtake Andrew Cole, whilst behind him on the list Wayne Rooney actually has the worst ratio on the list.
Despite the incredible amount of goals on the list, and the fact that most on the list are still scoring at the highest level, none of the top 10 are currently leading the scoring stats this season.
Lazio's Ciro Immobile currently leads the way on 26 goals with Lewandowski three behind him and Ronaldo and RB Leipzig's Timo Werner a further three away.
