El Tigre's year just keeps getting better

Radamel Falcao continued to prove he is one of the most dangerous strikers in the world tonight by thumping home a header against Spain.

The Monaco forward was captaining his homeland Colombia against the Spanish in tonight's friendly in Murcia, with his goal making him the South American nation's all-time leading goal-scorer.

After David Silva had prodded Spain in front after just 22 minutes, it looked like La Roja were on their way to a comfortable victory, but Edwin Cardona levelled things up just before half-time, leaving the stage set for Falcao.

Despite being the one man Spain were paying most attention to at set-pieces, the 31-year-old still managed to find enough space to connect with a whipped corner, and left a helpless Pepe Reina with no chance:

That's his 26th international goal for Colombia, leaving him out in front of everybody else.

There was a time a couple of years ago when it looked like we may have seen the last of Falcao as an elite player, but it looks like El Tigre is well and truly back.
