Compilation Shows Just How Good Olivier Giroud Has Been In The Premier League

Olivier Giroud has scored some of the greatest goals in recent years in the Premier League, and it's always good to relive them.

Olivier Giroud is one of the most underrated strikers in recent Premier League history, often by his own managers, and the Frenchman's greatest goals compilation is outstanding.

The striker, who is France's second all time top scorer despite not scoring as an integral part of France's World Cup winning side in 2018, has made huge impacts at both Arsenal and Chelsea.

In recent years he's often been used as a squad player rather than a regular starter but last month he scored four goals against Sevilla, including a perfect hat-trick, to really ask questions of Frank Lampard's selection policy.

Managers might think of him as someone good at getting teammates into the game but his compilation of outstanding goals is scary, worth watching for his famous scorpion kick goal vs Crystal Palace alone.

The 34-year-old has started just four games in the Premier League this season, coming off the bench on five other occasions, but has scored three times for Frank Lampard's team.

He has another five goals to his name in the Champions League but still can't get regular game time, despite an excellent end to last season.

Lampard turned to the former Montpellier forward late in the season and he scored eight times in his final 13 appearances.

Asked to explain his scoring success, Giroud said, "It is something you have or you don't," the Chelsea frontman told Sky Sports, "A striker can sniff things.

"I am not going to tell you everything because it will be easy to read me.

"But it is not all about instinct, it is a skill that he has learned. Being in the right place at the right time is an easy line, but it all comes down to hard work.

"As a striker, if you want to get free from the defender, you have to make a first run and then after that another run. You feint to go to the far post but end up going to the first post. It is all about that movement to get free from your defender to receive the ball.

"It is not random. There is nothing random when you score goals. Never. It cannot be that you are just lucky. You are relentless and resilient. You always keep believing. That is one of the main qualities of a striker. You never stop and you always believe that you are going to score even if you miss the first one or the second one."

A scorer of great goals and a great goal scorer!

Should Giroud play more often?
