Rodri makes history with EA Sports FC 25 rating, it's never been done before

Manchester City midfielder Rodri looks set to make history with his EA Sports FC 25 card after it was leaked online.

Rodri is one of the leading contenders for this year's Ballon d'Or award after playing an integral role in Manchester City's fourth Premier League title in a row - before leading Spain to a Euro 2024 triumph in Germany.

And his heroics are set to be rewarded with a tidy upgrade on EA FC 25.

A good chunk of ratings for the high-profile teams and players have emerged way ahead of launch on September 27.

And Rodri's is one of the most eye-catching. Having increased from 89 to 91, the former Atletico Madrid midfielder is one of the very best players on the game.

In fact, no player has a higher rating than Rodri - who is tied with teammate Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona women's star Aitana Bonmati.

As per the leaks from @DonkTrading on X, the 28-year-old is poised to be higher than Kevin De Bruyne, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Harry Kane, Mo Salah, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rodri has eye-catching stats like 80 shooting, 86 passing, 84 dribbling, 87 defending and 85 physical.

Even more impressive is the fact Rodri will make history as a defensive midfield player has never been the highest-rated star on an EA Sports football game.

Often the forwards get all the love from EA but Rodri is changing the game with a rating that has never been seen before for a player in his position.

As well as Haaland and De Bruyne, City colleagues Ruben Dias, Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva, Ederson and the returning Ilkay Gundogan also get in the top 50 players.

But fellow defensive midfielder Casemiro has received one of the biggest downgrades in the history of the game.

The Manchester United man's overall has dropped from 89 to 84 and fans are deeming his card to be "unusable" after his pace went all the way down to 38.
