Career Mode on FIFA & EA Sports FC games has always been a leading source for up and coming wonderkids, giving fans an idea of what players could be about to explode into life.

EA's many researchers were tasked with developing a keen eye for talent and a comprehensive list of huge players with potential would be created each year.

Ahead of FIFA 14, journalist and FIFA enthusiast Darren Cross compiled a list of 40 'Future Stars' who had the capacity to achieve great things and essentially gave managers a headstart with scouting.

Every player had a potential rating of at least 85, with the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Fred and Lorenzo Insigne included.
