A professional FIFA player has hit an early high on the latest version of the EAFC video game with some custom tactics that has propelled him to the top three in the world.
EAFC 25 was officially released on Friday this week to gamers across the world, though it was available through early access seven days earlier.
The latest incarnation of the EA Sports franchise has been launched on multiple gaming platforms including the Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Windows.
The popular franchise, formerly known as FIFA, was renamed after the long-term licensing agreement concluded in 2022 following the release of FIFA 23.

The game has had a slightly difficult launch after servers went down during peak hours on the opening day of its release, much to the frustration of gamers, and it led to EA Sports releasing a statement explaining what had happened and asking players for their patience.
The standard edition cover star is Real Madrid and England midfielder Jude Bellingham, while the ultimate edition includes Bellingham, France legend Zinedine Zidane, ex-England midfielder David Beckham, retired Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, and Aitana Bonmati.
Fans have been promised much with the new title's release, with a raft of new features and amendments made to the video game.
Inevitably with any game, there will be some who are better at it than others, and one player has reached the top three in the world elite division of EAFC 25.
The gamer, who is a professional FIFA player for MHSC Esport and was ePremier League Champion in 2022, took to the social media platform formerly known as Twitter to show the custom tactics that have helped him reach this milestone, with a 4-3-1-2 formation with a counter build-up style and high defensive approach.
The team includes David Ginola and the legendary Ronaldo as the strikers, with Arsenal's William Saliba and Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger as the central defenders.
Ousmane Dembele plays in the number 10 role, with Federico Valverde, Patri Guijarro and Alexia Putellas as the midfield trio.
Theo Hernandez and Achraf Hakimi are the full-backs, with Mike Maignan the goalkeeper.
