EA FC 25 is now cheaper than ever before with new features designed to win back fans who have criticised the game.

In what has been billed as EA’s biggest release to date, fans of the series were keen to get their hands on the game when it first launched back in September, with lots of chatter around the new Ultimate Team game mode known as 5v5 Rush, which enables players to take part in five vs five matches.

The game, which currently has almost £30 off in Amazon's early Black Friday sale, also drew excitement for its ability to enable professional fouls in matches with ‘guaranteed play stoppage’ alongside a new class of ‘Icons’, which includes female footballers: Lotta Schelin, Aya Myiami, Julie Foudy, Marinette Pichon and Nadine Angerer.

But EA FC 25 has faced widespread backlash online, with many gamers calling the latest edition a ‘disappointment’, with reports of issues around AI, bugs, and ‘frustrating game play’.

In a bid to win back fans, EA has introduced brand new updates, which include improved goalkeeping and ball physics, plus bug fixes and improvements across modes such as Ultimate Team, Clubs and Career Mode.

That’s not all. The introduction of Live Start Points in Career Mode is what has garnered most attention, as it means players will be able to jump into action with a team’s real-life position and form from the 2024/2025 season.

Explaining the adjustments to the game, an EA FC 25 statement reads: "Live Start Points are a new way of experiencing Manager & Player Career, by starting your journey at access points based on real-world events across European league football throughout the 2024/2025 season."

Live Start Points will be available among the Premier League, Championship, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A and the Barclays Women's Super League. If you’re wanting to give the new updates a whirl, we’ve found the cheapest deal on offer right now.

If you want to buy EA FC 25 for loved ones this holiday season, you’ll be pleased to know the game has been reduced from £69.99 down to just £39.99 - that’s a huge 43% saving. The limited time deal is available as part of Amazon’s massive Black Friday sale and a word to the wise: if you’re keen, make sure to move fast, stocks won’t last long in the countdown to Christmas.
