Gabriel Martinelli is reportedly close to signing a new long-term deal with Arsenal.

Martinelli's future has been the subject of speculation this season, with talks dragging on over a new contract for the Brazil international.

The 21-year-old is currently committed to Arsenal until 2024, with the club holding an option to extend his deal by a further year.

But the Premier League club are desperate to tie him down to a longer deal, amid reports that other clubs are considering a move for the winger.

Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and AC Milan have been linked with Martinelli, who has scored five goals and provided two assists for Arsenal this season.

He was also part of Brazil's World Cup squad and made two appearances for his national side at the tournament in Qatar.

Martinelli close to signing new Arsenal deal

According to Brazilian outlet Lance, Martinelli is "close" to signing a new deal with Arsenal until 2027.

Reports elsewhere claim Martinelli's wages will almost triple to £200,000 per week, making him one of the highest-paid players at the club.

In addition to Martinelli, Arsenal are still working to tie down Bukayo Saka and William Saliba to new contracts.

England international Saka, 21, has just 18 months left on his current deal and Arsenal are desperate to extend his contract before he enters his final year.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal will resume talks with Saka's representatives this winter over a new long-term deal.

Saliba talks dragging on

Saliba, 21, has also emerged as an important player for Arsenal this season after returning to the club from a loan spell at Marseille.

Saliba has six months left on his current deal but Arsenal hold an option to extend his stay until 2024.

Talks have been ongoing over an improved contract for the France international but The Athletic have reported that Saliba's representatives are not satisfied with the salary that Arsenal are offering.

However, it is also claimed that Arsenal are optimistic that the "goodwill" between the player and club will result in the player committing his future to the Gunners.
