Philippe Coutinho Is The January Cover Star On Liverpool's Calendar

Embarrassingly for Liverpool, Philippe Coutinho is the club's cover star for January on their official calendar.

The Brazilian's £142 million move to Barcelona was finally confirmed today, following endless speculation.

And for those Liverpool fans who purchased the 2018 calendar, they now have a Barcelona player front and centre for this month.

You really couldn't write it, could you? The banterous gaffe has certainly sparked plenty of reaction on social media, with a few believing that he was the choice of a player for January for a reason:

Fortunately, a few Reds fans have a solution - with one sticking Virgil van Dijk's head on Coutinho and another creating a quite incredible Ragnar Klavan photoshop.

It doesn't get any better in the coming months as far as the calendar is concerned - with Daniel Sturridge and Emre Can on February and March respectively.
