Leeds United lost to QPR on Saturday courtesy of a controversial goal for the London side and one Leeds' fan has had enough and made a thread of the referee decisions that have gone against them.

The Championship side have been outside of the Premier League for 15 years, since their relegation at the end of the 2003/04 season, but have been close to coming back up in recent years.

They led the second tier for part of last season but eventually had to settle for the play-offs, where they were beaten by Derby County, but this season automatic promotion has looked a certainty.

However in recent weeks Marcelo Bielsa's side have won just once in seven league games and Fulham, Brentford and Nottingham Forest are now breathing down their necks.

One fan took to Twitter, in a long thread, to blame referees for the recent drop in form.

In another tweet Josh did admit that the team were still to blame for the recent struggles, adding, "The biggest challenge to promotion is ourselves and the conversion rates in front of goal tell that story. It's now time to invest in a couple of key additions to help build on the brilliant work that Bielsa has already done. Still 4 points clear. Don't mess this up."

I spoke to Josh and asked him if he felt the Whites would go up this season and he reiterated the tweet saying, "If we bring a proven striker in with the quality of someone like Che Adams, Andre Gray or Jarrod Bowen, who we've been linked with, then we'll start putting our chances away and go up.

"We're the best team in the league but can't score for toffee."

Speaking about their rivals Akers seemed to rule out Forest troubling them for a top two spot saying, "Brentford and Fulham are the only realistic challengers as don't think anyone else has the squad to compete for another 18 games.

"Our away game at Brentford on Feb 11th is crucial but given the decisions we've had in the capital so far at Millwall, Fulham & QPR [in the thread] I'm not confident at all."

Will Leeds bottle it again? Will the refs be to blame? Will Josh have a break down?
