An update regarding Victor Osimhen's next potential move has emerged as the highly sought-after striker continues to be linked with a summer move to the Premier League.

The 26-year-old striker, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Serie A side Napoli, has long been a target for a number of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Chelsea.

In fact, United sent scouts to watch the Nigerian forward in February, according to talkSPORT, while Chelsea were firmly in the race to sign Osimhen last summer but failed to get a deal over the line.

A number of clubs have been linked over the past year. At one stage, Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli had reached an agreement with the former Wolfsburg forward but opted to sign Ivan Toney instead.

And amid interest ahead of the summer, it appears a move to Saudi Arabia could be on the cards, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein, who dropped an update on Osimhen's future in a recent Q&A session.

On Thursday night, one fan asked transfer expert Ornstein: "Any potential that Chelsea could change their recruitment strategy? Thinking age and wages. Secondly, any hope Victor Osimhen will come home to my blues?".

Ornstein would go on to suggest that the "consensus" among Premier League clubs is that Osimhen's most likely destination is Saudi Arabia. "Part of that will be down to the affordability of his wages," he added. "But let's see."

Osimhen, who has enjoyed a superb campaign for Galatasaray, scoring 26 goals, recently suggested he would be open to signing a permanent deal at Galatasaray amid interest from a host of clubs, including Juventus and Barcelona.

"To be honest I don’t know," he said when asked about his future. "You know the last few months, nobody ever thought I would come here, I never believed I would come to Galatasaray despite how big they are.

"I live for the moment. I don’t know what will happen in the summer, but I want everybody to understand that I really love this club."

Osimhen added; "I love the fans, I love the President, I love everyone associated with the club. It’s really a big deal to be here and I’m really enjoying my time here."

Another question that emerged during the Q&A session with Ornstein involved Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, with Premier League clubs Liverpool and Chelsea reportedly interested.

After being asked if he'd heard anything regarding the links, Ornstein replied: "He is definitely a player CFC are considering. I don't know about LFC but there are a host of interested parties."

He added: "There is a good chance he leaves and I think there's a release clause in the event of BVB failing to qualify for Europe, but would need to check that. Nothing set in stone, at this stage."
