Ruthless fans online brutally trolled Yves Bissouma for what he did following Tottenham's dramatic victory over Liverpool on Saturday.

Spurs scored a last gasp goal to secure a famous win against Liverpool as Joel Matip smashed the ball into his own net at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, leaving Jurgen Klopp raging.

Wild scenes ensued after Matip's own-goal, with Spurs players also taking the opportunity to celebrate the Premier League scalp over Liverpool.

Bissouma, who started in the middle of the park, brought his son onto the pitch and appeared to do a lap of honour following the final whistle.

His gesture with his child sent social media into overdrive as fans made their feelings known.

One X user wrote: "A home win against nine men."

A second said: "A win at home in September against 9 men too."

A third argued: "People don't understand how hard this fixture is for us. Even when we've played well we've never won against them. We can celebrate whichever way we like!"

A fourth commented: "They think they’ve won the league."

Another joked: "It’s understandable, Spurs never actually win anything, they’re simply making the most of the situation."

That wasn't the only talking point regarding the Mali midfielder as he was involved in a major flash point in his side's fixture.

Curtis Jones was shown a red card after his tackle on him following a controversial VAR review.

Spurs' victory over Liverpool, meanwhile, sees them remain undefeated in the league as they occupy second place in the table, one point behind Manchester City.
