Radu Dragusin's agent admits incoming Tottenham player is already 'dreaming' of joining another club

Radu Dragusin's agent admits incoming Tottenham player is already 'dreaming' of joining another club

New Tottenham signing Radu Dragusin is keen to join two European giants despite just turning down Bayern Munich according to his agent.

Radu Drăgușin's agent has suggested the player who is set to sign for Spurs, is already keen to move elsewhere.

Drăgușin has started every single match this season for Genoa and has been the heartbeat of Alberto Gilardino's defence.

The 21-year-old made his move to Genoa permanent in the summer after enjoying a successful loan last season, playing 38 times in the league and scoring four goals.

Drăgușin's transfer to Spurs was cast into doubt when it was reported by Fabrizio Romano that Bayern Munich were attempting to hijack the deal from Spurs.

It was originally claimed that Spurs were close to agreeing a deal with Genoa for a fee of around £21.5 million plus add-ons, but Bayern's late interest created uncertainty that the deal would get over the line.

Despite the late move from Bayern, Drăgușin rather honourably decided to reject the proposal and continue with his planned move to the Premier League.

“We can't believe we turned down Bayern...

“Radu had given his word to Spurs and chose to respect this. We're all still mindblown a bit", His agent told GSP.

This will come as a huge relief to Spurs fans as Ange Postecoglou would have been desperate to secure a centre-back this window with Eric Dier set to leave for Bayern.

However, despite the good news, Radu Drăgușin’s agent Florin Manea suggested that Spurs' new man may already be viewing the club as a potential stepping stone.

Manea revealed to Digi Sport: "We were close, Bayern is among the biggest clubs, but his dream is Real or Barcelona.

"If he was 23-24 years old and had more experience, maybe he would have decided to go to Bayern, but I also took into account the age and the competition, I took into account many things.”

Spurs are set to officially unveil Drăgușin this week, and fans will be hoping the young defender enjoys a long and successful career at the club.
