Two Tottenham Hotspur fans were ejected from the stadium after celebrating Manchester City's goal against them.

Manchester City travelled to Tottenham on Tuesday evening knowing a win would put them on the brink of winning a fourth straight Premier League title.

City struggled to find their rhythm in the first half, but shortly after half-time Erling Haaland tapped home a Kevin de Bruyne cross to give the visitors the lead.

Many Spurs fans were feeling conflicted ahead of the match, as they knew their team would put arch-rivals Arsenal in control of the title race if they took points off City.

Shortly afterwards the pair were removed from their seats after other fans reported them to stewards.

After City weathered a Tottenham offensive, Haaland scored his second of the night from the penalty spot after Jeremy Doku was felled by former City man Pedro Porro.

Moments earlier, Son Heung-Min spurned a guilt-edged chance to equalise when Stefan Ortega saved his one-on-one effort.

City rode out 2-0 winners, meaning three points against West Ham on Sunday will clinch the title for a record fourth season in a row.
