The Real Madrid coach reportedly crashed on the motorway after their defeat against Liverpool.

On Wednesday night, Carlo Ancelotti's men were second-best from start to finish as they fell to a defeat against high-flying Liverpool.

Arne Slot's men came away 2-0 winners thanks to goals scored by Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo.

As a result, Liverpool remain top of the Champions League standings, with Madrid in 24th place.

On Thursday, footage circulated showing a coach with Madrid branding that had crashed into the back of a lorry.

As reported by The Sun, the accident took place on the M40 motorway. Ahead of kick-off on Wednesday night, Madrid players and staff were seen arriving in the same coach.

According to The Athletic, via Madrid Xtra, two drivers, a security member and the travel manager were on the bus. You can watch the footage below.

Usually, teams would fly back to their countries after a match but their team coach would still need to be driven back, which could be the case in this incident.

As shown on the footage, the coach was decorated with the Madrid club badge and a list of big titles they have won over the years, including 13 Supercopas de Espana and 20 Copas del Rey.

Speaking after the defeat by Liverpool, manager Ancelotti said: "To be totally honest, it’s a fair result. Liverpool deserved to win. They have a real good dynamic at the moment and are in great form. They were really switched on, connected, playing with high intensity.

"We did okay in the first half, we held them and set up quite well and defended well as a unit. In transitions we were okay. But then we lost the ball and once we gained the ball we made the wrong decision going forward."

He added: "We fought right up until the point of the penalty. If we could have evened it up, we had competed well up to that point. But we have to keep going."
