Neymar's heartbreaking live reaction to finding out he was omitted from Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil squad was filmed and posted online.
Neymar is Brazil's record goalscorer ahead of the late Pele after scoring 79 times in 128 games and has appeared in three World Cup tournaments for the Selecao.
However, with his recent injuries and lack of form, Neymar is a huge doubt to play in the revamped 48-team showpiece in North America.
An ACL injury to Rodygo Goes had sparked hope that Neymar, now back at first club Santos, could earn a Brazil recall for upcoming games against France and Croatia.

The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain man patiently waited for Ancelotti's squad announcement but did not get the nod on Monday. Instead, the former Real Madrid manager brought in a raft of new faces in Brentford's in-form striker Igor Thiago, Bournemouth wonderkid Rayan and Gabriel Sara of Galatasaray.
Danilo and Leo Pereira have also been brought in for the first time. Sat on a massage bed while receiving treatment, Neymar expressed disappointment by the decision but said he will still keep improving so that he is ready if the situation changes.
Speaking to the camera, Neymar said: "Hey Ancelotti what about me? The national team has just been announced. We were not called up. I'm sad obviously. That's what I said yesterday. "I'll always root for the national team and everything's fine.
"Now it's time to keep working, keep improving in everything and if there's an opportunity, be prepared. I was upset you know, I was sad. Now I'm sad but for me, is a done deal.
"Tomorrow I have to stop being sad. I need to work, train, play, so if an opportunity arises to be at the World Cup, I'm prepared."
Neymar has not featured for his country since 2023 against Uruguay when he suffered an ACL injury which put him on the sidelines for an extended period.

He is not the only big name to be left out, with Spurs striker Richarlison not included. He led the line at the last World Cup, where Brazil were eliminated by Croatia on penalties in the quarter final.
Despite the absence of Neymar and Richarlison, Ancelotti is still not short of options in attack, with Raphinha, Joao Pedro Vinicius Jr, Matheus Cunha, Endrick and Gabriel Martinelli all in his squad.
