There are several big free agents available.

The top 10 most valuable free agents include two former Manchester United and Arsenal stars.

With less than three months of the 2023-24 season remaining, clubs across Europe are busy planning for the summer transfer window.

There are expected to be some huge transfers this summer, not least Kylian Mbappe's likely move to Real Madrid when his Paris Saint-Germain contract expires.

However, for clubs needing to be a bit more frugal and creative with their spending, there are some big name free agents on the market.

The most valuable of those is former Man United goalkeeper David de Gea.

The Spaniard left United at the end of last season after the club withdrew a contract offer, and he has been without a club ever since.

De Gea has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia and in January reportedly rejected a contract offer from Nottingham Forest.

According to Transfermrkt his value is £6.8 million, making him the most valuable free agent.

Anwar El Ghazi is also a free agent after he left Bundesliga side Mainz 05 under controversial circumstances.

The former Aston Villa star had his contract terminated in November after he made a series of social media posts about the Israel-Gaza conflict.

He could be signed for somewhere around the £2.5 million mark.

Former Wolves and Leeds winger Helder Costa is among the most valuable players currently unattached to a club.

The Angola star left Leeds by mutual consent in October after not making an appearance for the club in two years.

The 30-year-old is valued at £2.4 million, but nobody has snapped him up.

Another familiar name on the list is ex-Arsenal man Carlos Vela.

The Mexican attacker never really made the grade in North London, but he impressed in La Liga with Real Sociedad and MLS with LAFC.

Now 35, Vela left LA when his contract expired at the end of 2023.
