Several members of the Auckland City team had to take unpaid leave from their day jobs to participate at the Club World Cup, underlining the disparity between them and the German giants.
They face another European club in the shape of Benfica before ending their campaign against Argentina's Boca Juniors.

As for Bayern, they are among the favourites to win the revamped competition as Vincent Kompany hailed his side's 10-goal performance.

"Job done. We played a serious game. We did what we needed to do," he said. "Maybe the goal difference will be important in the group, so winning by 10 goals was important. When the opponent sits deep, it's not a matter of course to score 10 goals. The highlight for me was the way Jamal Musiala made his comeback. It's a good basis for the rest of the tournament."
Muller, who will leave Bayern after the Club World Cup, added: "We played a good and serious game, we showed intensity - after every goal we wanted the next one. We deserved to win by such a margin. We had fun today despite the heat, the stadium was good, the pitch was great.
"We have to continue this way and take the way we played today to the next games."
