Wayne Rooney has busted a long-standing myth about Victoria Beckham after revealing the details of a night out in Madrid with the Spice Girl.
Despite being 10 years his senior and not overlapping at Manchester United, Rooney and David Beckham were teammates for six years as internationals and have a well documented friendship.
The duo shared the pitch together 39 times for England before Beckham's international retirement in 2009 with 115 caps.
Despite being an exceptionally decorated footballer, interest in Beckham's off field antics have taken priority over the last few decades, with his relationship to 'Posh Spice' putting the couple at the centre of media attention.

With interest in the couple so high, the have both often spoken about their life as a couple, with David revealing a shocking fact about his wife's eating habits back in 2022.
"I get quite emotional about food and wine,” he told Ruthie’s Table 4. “When I'm eating something great, I want everyone to try it.
"Unfortunately, I'm married to someone that has eaten the same thing for 25 years.

"Since I met her, she only eats grilled fish [and] steamed vegetables. She will very rarely deviate from that.
"The only time she's probably ever shared something that's been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper, and it was the most amazing thing," he added.
Rooney busts Victoria
However, speaking on his new podcast 'The Wayne Rooney Show' the former Manchester United and Everton star revealed the details of a night out in Spain with the couple.

Rooney explained that he went out for food with the couple, and that Victoria's diet was actually not as strict as his former teammate had previously made out.
"I met up with Becks and Victoria when he was at Madrid and we went for dinner then and we were having kebabs," he joked.
"He's a great lad and obviously Victoria is an amazing woman, they're a lot funnier than you'd think," he added.
