"Did he win a competition to play for us?" - Fans turn on Man Utd star after FC Copenhagen defeat

Manchester United suffered their third Champions League defeat of the season on Wednesday, with supporters all left thinking the same thing about one particular player.

The Red Devils got off to a flying start against FC Copenhagen after new signing Rasmus Hojlund put an end to his run of five games without a goal, plundering home a brace inside 30 minutes.

However, Marcus Rashford's contentious red card saw the Premier League side totally collapse, with the Danish champions levelling the scores before the break.

Bruno Fernandes restored United's advantage from the penalty spot, but the hosts' one-man advantage paid dividends as late goals from Lukas Lerager and Roony Bardghji secured all three points for FC Copenhagen.

After the game, Hojlund was ripped apart for his post-match interview comments, but the 20-year-old isn't the only one to come under fire.

Taking to social media, United fans have also made their opinions clear on Sofyan Amrabat's contribution to the team so far, after he joined the Old Trafford outfit on loan from Fiorentina on transfer Deadline Day.

The 27-year-old came on for Christian Eriksen after the break to help solidify United's midfield. Although he was unable to prevent the brutal defeat that followed.

Taking to social media, fans slammed the Morocco international's performance, brutally claiming that he plays as though "he's won a competition to be out there."

"Sometimes I watch Amrabat and he looks like he's won a competition to be out there," one user tweeted.

While another added: "I was called a moron for saying Amrabat isn't good enough to play for Man United by kids who'd watched him slide tackle Mbappe in the World Cup."

"We’re so lucky that Amrabat is just a loan," a third chimed in.

"Thank God we’d have a proper sporting director soon…I hope he dismisses Amrabat permanent signing, no way good enough," a fourth remarked.

"We spent all summer chasing Amrabat.. someone that is not good enough to lace Fred boot. Erik Ten Hag is a fraudster," another tweet read.

A final fan exclaimed: "Amrabat has shown absolutely nothing so far…he wouldn’t start for Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham or City, what makes him good enough for us?"
