Sky Sports have made their decision regarding taking action against Gary Neville over his comments following the Manchester synagogue attack.

A shocking tragedy in Manchester last week saw two, Adrian Daulby, 53, and Melvin Cravitz, 66, killed during a terrorist attack at a synagogue.

Jihad Al-Shamie, who was shot dead at the scene, has been named as the attacker while four others, two men, aged 30 and 32, and two women aged 46 and 61, were arrested and remain in custody.

Following the attack, Sky Sports pundit and former Manchester United player Neville took to social media to share his reaction to the attack, sharing concerns over the division that he argued is mainly being created by 'angry, middle-aged white men'.

Since posting the video online, several fans and media personalities have hit out the former England international, forcing Sky Sports to make a decision regarding his future.

While explaining why he recently removed a union flag on one of his development sites, Neville said: "The division that's being created is absolutely disgusting and it's mainly created by angry, middle-aged white men who know exactly what they're doing."

He later continued: "We need to check ourselves... because we are being pulled right and left.

"Brexit has had a devastating impact on this country and the messaging is getting dangerous, extremely dangerous, all these idiots that are out there spreading hate speech or abuse in any form, we must stop promoting them."

The comments led to some threatening to cancel their Sky Sports subscription if the broadcaster did not react to Neville's post, but according to a report from the Daily Mail the pundit will face no action from Sky.

According to Sky's official guidelines, any social media post made by talent should not led to any backlash on the broadcaster or any programme that they work on.

Those guidelines read: “Talent and contributors should be aware that social media communities are public forums and should not undertake activity that brings either their programme or Sky into disrepute.”

Although it is believed that Neville will not face action from Sky, he has faced backlash from his peers, with fellow pundit Simon Jordan branding him a 'coward' over the video.

"I think you should be proud of your country, I think you should be proud of your country's flag," the former Crystal Palace owner said.

Sky Sports declined to comment when approached by SPORTbible.
