Man Utd fans spot the one player Ruben Amorim is working with personally in pre-season and they're demanding answers

It's raised a lot of questions with fans.

Manchester United fans have a lot of questions after a clip of Ruben Amorim in pre-season training ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

United are heading into the new season off the back of a 15th-placed finish in the Premier League, with Amorim winning just 24 points in 25 games in charge.

Amorim saw his final hopes for European football crushed in Bilbao as a Brennan Johnson goal handed Spurs the Europa League and more importantly, a spot in this season's Champions League.

The Portuguese manager has made one significant addition to his squad so far this summer, with Matheus Cunha arriving from Wolves for a fee of around £62.5 million.

The Brazilian has taken the number 10 shirt from Marcus Rashford, who looks set to depart the club alongside winger Alejandro Garnacho.

Despite talks with Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, United are still no closer to securing a new number nine, which appeared to be a priority heading into the window.

Rasmus Hojlund training footage worries fans

The Red Devils look set to miss out to Arsenal on Amorim's former star striker Viktor Gyokeres, and a recent training clip involving Rasmus Hojlund has worried fans.

The clip shows Amorim working extremely closely with the Danish international, making fans doubt if a new striker will be joining the club this summer.

One fan wrote: "Hey Ruben, I promise he can't get better, not with that mindset and movement he can't. Move on."

Another questioned: "I need to understand Amorim’s thought process when it comes to him."

A third added: "PR machine in overdrive to deflect from another abysmal summer window. Hojlund, like Onana needs replacing. Last season was unforgivable."

However, not every United fan was so critical with many believing he can turn his fortunes at Old Trafford around.

One fan explained: "Amorim has a lot of work to do with Hojlund. But I'm happy for him to stay and keep grafting as long as he is the understudy to a proven striker..."

Another was even more optimistic: "He will turn him into Gyokeres. Has to bag at least 15 goals next league season if we don't sign a striker."
