Ruben Amorim has explained why he has to be 'careful' with Manchester United new boy Benjamin Sesko after making a huge admission.

Man United fended off fierce competition from Newcastle United to sign Sesko this summer.

He joined from RB Leipzig in a deal worth a whopping £73.7 million.

The Slovenian made his Man United debut in his side's Premier League opener against Arsenal last weekend, which ended in a 1-0 defeat.

He failed to make a huge impact up front, having come on as a second-half substitute.

But Amorim is excited about the prospect of Sesko and believes he is 'ever better' than first thought.

"I like to know the players, I like to see the videos of the players and to try to get all the information, but you want that confirmation, and I felt Sesko was even better than what I was thinking," Amorim told Sky Sports.

Amorim is convinced Sesko will be Man United's No.9 for 'many, many years' and explained why he will have to 'careful' with the 22-year-old.

"I have to be careful, Sesko is going to be our striker for many, many years so we need to put that in his head and let him settle down, to stay calm and enjoy his day because he’s really like you said, obsessed," he added.

"I’m really happy - not just with him but with Cunha, Diego, and Mbeumo - we know that we have the players and we know that in our future we are going to have that base and that is really important for us."

Gary Neville reveals what he likes the most about Benjamin Sesko

Sesko arrives at Man United having scored 21 goals in 45 matches in all competitions for Leipzig last season.

He will be looking to open his account for his new team if he makes an appearance against Fulham on Sunday.

Speaking ahead of Man United's second league fixture of the season, Gary Neville revealed what he likes the most about the towering forward.

"What I like about him, when you look at his goals, he does score all different types of goals, to be fair to him," he said on Stick to Football - brought to you by Sky Bet. "He can head it, you know, he’s a 6-foot-5, you know what I mean?"
