Wolves fans believe Matheus Cunha 'should never play for the club again' following his now-deleted social media post amid interest from Manchester United.

Cunha is attracting interest following his performances for Wolves, with Arsenal, Newcastle United and Man United thought to be keen on signing the star forward.

He's emerged as a Man United target as a report claims Ruben Amorim's side are considering a summer move for the Brazilian.

Cunha, 25, has scored 25 Premier League goals in 58 appearances in his last two seasons and has performed well when facing the Red Devils.

He penned a new deal at Wolves last February and has a £62.5 million release clause.

Ahead of Wolves' game against Tottenham on Sunday, Cunha has taken to social media amid Man United interest.

On his Instagram story, he posted an image of himself, accompanied with the caption: "Time to be happy, I will follow my dreams, not yours.. So stay cool."

But his post has not gone down well among the Wolves fanbase as they have made their feelings known.

Some Wolves fans online want him out of the club and reckon he 'should never play for the club again'.

One X user wrote: "Get him out the football club I’m sick of him."

A second tweeted: "Does he not think before he posts?"

A third added: "Should never play for us again."

A summer move away from Molineux appears to be on the cards as Wolves manager Vítor Pereira is unsure whether Cunha, who is contracted until 2029, will still be at the club next season.

"Next season, I don't know. The focus is the next game, the next game. The focus is the team and Matheus makes part of the team, not for this game but my focus is my team." he said.

"In the summer, we will see what happens but in my opinion, it's normal that a player with his potential has ambition."
