Manchester United fan Mark Goldbridge delivered a damning verdict on Christian Eriksen following his showing against Bayern Munich.
Man United suffered a crushing 4-3 defeat at the Allianz Arena as Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry, Harry Kane and Mathys Tel all got on the score-sheet.
Sane opened the scoring after a Andre Onana howler, with Gnabry doubling his side's lead after a brilliant assist by Jamal Muisala.
Rasmus Hojlund pulled one back just after the break as he opened his Man United goal account following his summer move from Atalanta.
Kane restored his team's two-goal when he converted a penalty, with fans on social media slamming the controversial decision. Casemiro added two lates goals as Tel added a fourth for Bayern.
Eriksen not only conceded a penalty but was also overran in midfield, with Muisala dominating the middle of the park.
And Goldbridge believes the Dane operating as a No.8 should have been 'over' a year ago.
On X, he wrote: "The Eriksen at 8 experiment should have been over a year ago. It's cost us so many goals this season already."
Goldbridge also fumed over VAR's decision to award the Bundesliga side a penalty.
In another post, he added: "What p**ses me off is that's never a pen in the Prem."
Erik ten Hag taking off Hojlund and Facundo Pellistri also angered the Man United supporter as he made his feelings clear online.
"Hojlund and Pellistri off and Rashford stays on again.....disgrace. His attitude tonight he should have been take off," he said on X.
The Red Devils have now lost three games in a row across all competitions, having suffered back-to-back league defeats to Arsenal and Brighton.
They return to action on Saturday when they resume their faltering league campaign at Burnley.
