Marcus Rashford's wrecked Rolls Royce was purchased by a YouTuber but the Manchester United star gave him a helping hand as he attempted to restore it.

Back in September, the England international was involved in a car crash leaving Carrington.

Neither Rashford or the other driver, an elderly woman, were injured in the collision and no ambulance was required.

However the £700,00 car was left an absolute mess and so had to be written off.

It was then sold online at an auction, with the vehicle, a custom Mansory Black Badge Wraith, going for £184,000.

It had less than 1000 miles on it but the damage was all over the car, including the sides, underbelly, suspension and more.

With a lot of dents and destructions, it was a tough ask for Mat Armstrong to restore it.

However, after his first video about buying the car went viral and racked up 5.3 million views, Rashford had become aware and his team got in touch with a message.

It read: "Hi, I deal with all of the cars from Marcus, I believe we still have a few bits from the car you might need, we might have the v5 spare key and a couple more bits from when the car got recovered. We also have the ghost code and tracker information if you want us to get them to you?"

Mat, who had never worked on a Rolls Royce before, duly accepted and ended up being given a plethora of the car's parts which had been in a lock-up.

They included a Mansory bag and car cover, Mansory floor and boot mats, Mansory grill surround, a Rolls Royce front grill with the Mansory insert, wheel cap and black spirit of ecstasy.

In a lengthy video, Mat said: "I want to say thanks for Rashford's team for giving us all of this because they didn't have to. It saved us so much money."

They also provided further information of the crash, with it claimed that the other driver hit Rashford's car when she was switching lanes.

He then hit nearby posts and though they were both fine, it was deemed to be the 74-year-old's fault.

Mat purchased another Rolls Royce for £90,000 purely for the parts and did manage to start Rashford's old whip.

He plans to give away a signed wing and is hopeful Rashford will lend his signature too.

Mat is doing a raffle with tickets costing £1 and all the proceeds going to the FareShare foodbank charity which Rashford is a supporter of.
