Manchester United fans have spotted Marcus Rashford cutting a teammate out of his Instagram post.

On Saturday afternoon, United ended their season on a high as they clinched the FA Cup at Wembley by beating rivals Manchester City.

Goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo gave United a 2-0 lead going into the interval.

City’s second-half substitute Jeremy Doku made things interesting with a late goal but Erik ten Hag’s men held on for the win.

On the back of the match, United star Rashford, who was spotted with tears in his eyes after the final whistle, took to social media to showcase the talent from the club’s academy.

The 26-year-old posted a picture on Instagram with academy graduates like Garnacho, Mainoo, Scott McTominay and Jonny Evans. The caption read: “The academy that keeps producing.”

Reacting to the post, fans spotted that one of his teammates was cropped out of the picture.

One fan said: “He cropped Antony out.”

Another tweeted: “Nah he cropped Antony out.”

A third fan added: “Rashy did Antony dirty there lol.”

Someone else wrote: “I love how he cropped Antony out.”

A fifth commented: “They cut off Antony.”

However, the reason behind it could simply be the fact that Antony did not play in United’s academy.

The Brazilian winger joined the Old Trafford club back in the summer of 2022 from Dutch side Ajax.

Speaking after the match, Garnacho said: “It is incredible. Nobody believed in us. But we are a team and we are all together. We fought and it was the game of our lives.

“Incredible [fans]. The fans are always there when we win, or lose, home or away.”

On fellow goalscorer Mainoo, the Argentine added: “He is incredible. He is the best player in the squad and he is the youngest.

“We are also good friends, so I am so happy for him.”
