Marcus Rashford’s comment to Bruno Fernandes on social media has got Manchester United fans worried.

On Wednesday night, United welcomed Newcastle United to Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag’s men looked to mount a late charge for the remaining European places.

Despite a nervy display at times, goals from Kobbie Mainoo, Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund were enough to seal a vital 3-2 victory for the Red Devils.

The win leaves United level on points with Newcastle heading into the final match weekend of the 23/24 Premier League season.

Against Newcastle, Rashford reached a big milestone as he made his 400th appearance for his boyhood club.

After the match, the 26-year-old wrote on social media: “It’s a special feeling to say that I have played 400 times for United. Thank you.”

In the comments section, teammate and club captain Fernandes wrote: “400 more to come.”

Rashford then replied with: “@brunofernandes8 it’s been a pleasure sharing the pitch with you bro.”

Reacting to Rashford’s comment, one fan said: “That sounds like a goodbye.”

Another tweeted: “Makes it sound like Bruno is leaving.”

A third fan added: “Please don’t sell Bruno for any price.”

Someone else wrote: “Eh is Bruno leaving…”

However, one fan was quick to reassure the fanbase by writing: “He’s just saying he’s enjoyed playing a lot of the 400 games with him, everyone calm down.”

Another fan added: “Bruno isnt going anywhere. Rashford is just saying he enjoys playing with him.”

This week, Fernandes has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

It was reported that Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo had urged his current club, Al Nassr, to sign Fernandes and bring him to the Saudi Professional League.

According to The Telegraph, clubs in the Saudi Professional League are targetting four major Premier League players, including Fernandes.

Aside from Fernandes, it is believed that United midfielder Casemiro, Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson and Liverpool’s Alisson Becker are also on the radar.
