Ex-Man Utd star reveals fine players have received for disgusting dressing room act

The former England international explained exactly what some Premier League players get up to in the dressing room.

A former Premier League footballer who represented Manchester United and England recently revealed the grim thing some players received fines for.

Fines and football go hand in hand. Whether it be receiving a yellow card, red card or even breaching protocols both on and off the field, both players’ and clubs’ actions can result in hefty fines.

Last year, the Mirror published a report appearing to show a supposed fine list from Steven Gerrard’s time at Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, former Man United goalkeeper Ben Foster revealed how he received a significant fine for gifting UFC fighter Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett tickets for a game between Watford and Liverpool at Vicarage Road in 2021.

Speaking on the Fozcast, Foster said: "It was Liverpool vs Watford at Watford, and he (Paddy Pimblett) got kicked out, and I got him the tickets as well. I got him four tickets for the game, and they're Watford tickets, so he has to sit in and amongst the Watford fans. I said, 'Paddy, I can get you four tickets, but, mate, you've got to keep it on the down low, don't go putting it on the internet, don't go causing a fuss, don't celebrate if Liverpool score or anything like that'.”

He added: "They beat us 5-0. Mo Salah scored. Every goal went in, he's (Pimblett) jumping around, celebrating.

“The steward kicked him out, and he posted online, 'Thanks Fozzy for the tickets, but Watford are a cr*p club, and I hope you get relegated'. As soon as the game is over, I look at my phone and there are a thousand messages. Anyway, I got a week's fine for that, I got done a week's wages for that."

And in a more recent episode of the podcast, Foster opened up about the vile things some players do, which have resulted in fines.

“A lot of dressing rooms have [untidiness] as a fine,” said Foster. “If you are caught weeing in the toilet, it’s gonna be a £50-100 fine. But if you’re in that shower by yourself, I guarantee you that most people are doing a wee if they need it. Because there’s nobody to catch them.”

He continued: “One of the biggest fines is if you leave your underpants in the shower. Because that is a level of disrespect, because the kit man [has to collect them].”

When asked why someone would have their underpants on in the shower, Foster replied: “You walk into the shower with your underpants on… this is really interesting, because for me it’s just completely normal. But players like to walk in with their slips on.”
