Zion Suzuki's stats after rejecting Man Utd move are absolutely incredible

Zion Suzuki's stats after rejecting Man Utd move are absolutely incredible

Zion Suzuki has starred for Belgian side Sint-Truiden this season.

Manchester United transfer target Zion Suzuki has registered enough minutes to record statistics and they make for impressive reading.

Suzuki was linked with a move to Man United as Erik ten Hag identified the budding goalkeeper as a potential back-up to Andre Onana, who arrived from Inter Milan for £47.2 million during the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils agreed a fee with the player's parent club, Urawa Reds, but he turned down a move to England, eventually signing for Belgian side Sint-Truiden on loan.

The loan deal covers the 2023/24 season and the Japan international, who was born in the United States, has impressed this campaign.

X user @DataMB_ have shared the 21-year-old's stats from this season, claiming they have "never seen anything like it".

The data recorded highlights his incredible 'shot-stopping', 'aerials contested', 'exits from goal line' and 'passes'.

Despite rejecting Man United during the summer, Suzuki dreams of playing in the Premier League as he revealed why he opted against moving to Old Trafford.

"My dream is to play in the Premier League and I have received an offer from Manchester United," he said, as per voetbalbelgie.

"Even if I can’t go there now, I definitely want to go there in a few years."

On Man United's offer, he added: "It's true that there was an offer from Manchester United. As a football player and as a person, if I hadn't thought about anything, of course I would like to go to Manchester United.

"But among them, I really want to spend time thinking about what kind of future awaits me. After much thought, I made this decision.

"Manchester United have acquired Onana. It's important for me to participate in matches, and I think it is also important to play on the world stage. I want to make the most of what I have learned here and do my best."
