Manchester United are plotting a transfer hijack for a player who reportedly wants to leave a Premier League rival.
On Saturday lunchtime, Man Utd kicked off their Premier League campaign disastrously with a 2-0 defeat to newly promoted Hull City.
Michael Carrick's men produced an incredibly poor performance that featured two new signings, deploying Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans alongside Bruno Fernandes.
The Red Devils were outfought, outran, and ultimately outclassed by the underdogs, who were completely written off by the majority before a ball was even kicked.

A third defeat in 18 Premier League games in charge for Carrick has only highlighted the need for INEOS to add more reinforcements to the squad before the September 1 deadline, and one is already edging closer to joining.
On Friday, it was revealed that Man United have agreed a £70 million deal for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba, with the 22-year-old completing his medical at Old Trafford this weekend.
But a third midfielder isn't Carrick's only priority, as he wants a new left-back to rival Luke Shaw and a versatile attacking player, with a promising update emerging on the latter.
According to TEAMtalk, United retain an interest in Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr. The Senegalese international missed their 2-0 defeat to Everton through injury and is likely to leave Selhurst Park.
Galatasaray are currently leading the race, having already offered the 28-year-old a contract and reached an agreement with his representatives.
Crucially, though, it's club-to-club talks where the Turkish giants have struggled to finalise a deal. Palace are desperate to keep one of their prized assets - who scored 18 goals in all competitions last term - with the Eagles demanding at least £50 million for his signature.

TEAMtalk adds that Sarr is 'keen on the possibility of leaving Selhurst Park' and United are willing to rival Galatasaray for the powerful attacker, arguably seeing him as a Premier League-proven option to hit the ground running.
Ismaila Sarr's versatility would be big help to Man United
Carrick has several quality players to choose from in wide areas, including the likes of Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Shea Lacey on the right, with Matheus Cunha and Marcus Rashford on the left.
All of the above can operate in multiple positions, and Sarr would only add to that, having showcased incredible versatility since joining Palace from Marseille two years ago.
Across his career, the 87-cap Senegal international has played as a right winger, left winger, attacking midfielder, and centre forward.
Not only is he very adaptable, shining in various roles, but the explosive attacker also offers other redeeming traits such as his pace, power, and goalscoring threat.
Indeed, Sarr has produced 33 goals and 10 assists in 92 appearances for the Eagles, becoming one of Oliver Glasner's most important players during his time in charge.
In addition, he's almost always available, only missing 10 games for club and country for the South London outfit, making 76 appearances in the Premier League across two campaigns.
It's undoubtedly clear to see why he's on Carrick's radar, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he joined the Red Devils this summer.
