Man Utd fans demand four players are sold immediately after losing Europa League final

Manchester United supporters vented about the players they want sold after losing the Europa League final against Spurs.

Despite poor domestic campaigns which sees them occupy 16th and 17th in the Premier League, the two sides met in the final of UEFA's secondary club competition - with Champions League qualification up for grabs.

In a chaotic and scrappy game at San Mames in Bilbao, Spurs beat United for a fourth time this season after Brennan Johnson scored the only goal of the game at the end of the first half.

The hard-fought win means Spurs end their 17-year trophy drought as Ange Postecoglou kept his promise of winning silverware in his second season.

United were hugely disappointing on the big stage and suffered their first defeat in this season's Europa League.

And with such little quality from their side, many United fans ranted about four players which they believe simply have to be offloaded in the summer.

Goalkeeper Andre Onana has been widely criticised all season for a series of costly errors and he was panned once again, along with Luke Shaw - who wasn't quick enough to react for Johnson's winning goal.

On X, one supporter fumed: "Onana needs to be sold and never play for this club again, and Shaw."

Another echoed the thoughts, writing: "Onana needs to be sold in the summer. Cannot command his defence!!!! Awful."

And despite his heroics in the semi-final, many were also advocating for Mason Mount to be moved on after failing to make an impact.

One commented: "We need to get rid of Mount man I’ve tried".

A second agreed and called his showing "shockingly bad".

And finally, fans again demanded that the experiment with £72 million striker Rasmus Hojlund comes to an end after he looked completely out of sorts leading the line in the final.

Hojlund was easily marshalled by Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven and after he and a number of teammates struggled, one user wrote: "If we’re serious about a solid rebuild next season, players like Shaw, Maguire, Onana, and Hojlund should be sold, even for peanuts."

Another followed up, saying Hojlund "should never have another game in a United kit and should be sold asap".
