Gary Neville has once again taken aim at Gabriel Agbonlahor for "shouting his mouth off", just a week after the former Aston Villa forward made a bold claim about Nemanja Vidic.

Agbonlahor, who entered the world of punditry following a 13-year playing career, has often divided opinion with his, at times, controversial opinions on popular radio station talkSPORT.

And last month, the former England international sparked a huge debate after describing former Manchester United centre-back Nemanja Vidic as the most overrated centre-back in Premier League history.

“I’ve said it before, I didn’t find Vidic hard to play against,” Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT Breakfast. “Whenever he came tight, I’d spin in behind him. I could hold the ball up against him."

The 37-year-old added: "Other players might say different, but that’s my opinion.”

“Vidic wasn’t all that!” 😱🇷🇸

“Van Dijk & Kompany over Vidic. JT & Rio are the best. Kyle Walker & Mo Salah walk in.”

Soon after Agbonlahor made the comments, Vidic's former teammate Gary Neville had his say. Well, kind of.

Neville reposted a tweet from X account Stretford Paddock that read: “So Gabby Agbonlahor has said Vidic is the most overrated defender in PL history and he didn’t find it hard to play against him.

"Just a reminder that Agbonlahor played #MUFC 22 times in his career and won once, couldn’t have been that easy then.”

Two weeks after using the RT button on X, formerly known as Twitter, the conversation turned to Agbonlahor during the latest Stick to Football podcast, brought to you by Sky Bet.

After fellow pundit Jamie Carragher brought up Neville's feud with the former Aston Villa striker, the United legend replied: "A guy who's played against Manchester United 21 times and won once and f*****g shouts his mouth off."

Agbonlahor actually faced United on 22 occasions during his career but as Neville pointed out, he only came out victories once, despite scoring four goals against the Reds.

Someone who will wholeheartedly disagree with Agbonlahor is Sir Alex Ferguson.

Last year, Vidic's former centre-back partner Rio Ferdinand called Sir Alex Ferguson to ask him for three words to describe the former Serbia international and he replied: "Determined, tough and committed."
