Man Utd have launched 'hunt' for dressing room 'leaker' as new Cristiano Ronaldo and Erik ten Hag claims made

Man Utd launched a hunt for a dressing room 'leaker'.

Manchester United launched a “hunt” for a dressing leaker amid new claims emerging about Cristiano Ronaldo’s acrimonious departure.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner left United by mutual consent last November after being scathing of Ten Hag and controversial owners the Glazers in a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan.

And former United and Tottenham striker Alan Brazil has now alleged that the Old Trafford squad are unconvinced by Ten Hag and were “disgusted” by his treatment of Ronaldo.

Brazil told TalkSPORT: “I was hearing, and you have to be careful what you report on - this is only what I heard from a United player who told someone I know very well. He said the players are not having the manager - definitely not.

“By all accounts, they were disgusted by the way they treated Cristiano Ronaldo and they say [Jadon] Sancho’s a great guy. He works his socks off.”

Brazil added: “He said the players are not having him. Not having him.”

The United hierarchy may be alarmed by Brazil’s claim of a dressing room source. Indeed, last week it emerged that United were keeping a close eye on an anonymous X account leaking injury updates and news about first team unrest.

As per the Mail Online, the account quickly gained attention and a large following, having been accurate on several injury posts before United’s official confirmation.

The account allegedly raised suspicion at United, who believe it may be run by someone connected with the club with access to confidential information.

In turn, United are said to be investigating the source of the leaks in an attempt to root out any moles.

A club insider told the Mail Online: “Preparation for games these days is so thorough that leaked information about team line-ups and injuries can give the opposition an advantage to exploit.

“United fans should be hounding out these accounts that routinely leak this kind of information, and questioning what is their motivation for doing it.”
